LocationIn nearby Josselin, rightly considered the prettiest small town in Brittany, you will find restaurants, supermarkets, branches of the leading French banks, and many small cafes and bars. There is a large market in the centre of the town on most Saturday mornings. There is a further large market in Malestroit, 20km, on Thursday mornings. The Resistance Museum near to Malestroit is well worth a visit.
In Vannes, 25km away, there is a fine indoor swimming pool with water slides which has proved very popular for visitors with young children.
The area is ideal for cycling. The owners can provide inexpensive bike hire from a stock of ten bikes.There are many beautiful beaches within easy reach of the cottage. The nearest at Lac au Duc being only 15 mins drive away. The long sandy beach at Carnac is popular with visitors. It is gently sloping and child friendly. Slightly further are the fine sandy beaches on either side of the Quiberon Peninsular some of which provide excellent surfing. Lots to see and do!
